At Edward & Cynthia Institute of Public Health (ECIPH), we believe that true learning happens when theory meets practice. Our Master of Public Health (MPH) program is designed to provide students with extensive hands-on training through fieldwork, internships, and real-time project involvement—preparing them to tackle real-world public health challenges with confidence and competence.

- Fieldwork & Community Immersion
Students engage directly with communities, public health systems, Governments and NGOs, conducting surveys, health assessments, visiting industries and conducting epidemiological research studies. These experiences build a deep understanding of health issues in diverse real-world contexts.
- Research-Based Learning
At ECIPH, the students are encouraged and at times sponsored to participate and present their scientific studies in various national and international conferences. The department of Public Health at Yenepoya ( Deemed to be University) recognizes and supports the theory and practical based importance of holistic public health.
- Internships with Impact
MPH students complete structured internships with government bodies, international health organizations, and hospitals, gaining exposure to public health operations, policy implementation, and program management.
Our students in the past have interned with Women and Child Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, State Health Resource Center, NIMHANS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, UN Institutions, CHD Group and affiliates and many other places.
- Data Collection & Analysis
Hands-on training includes data collection tools (ODK, REDCap), biostatistical software (SPSS, R), and GIS applications. This empowers students to derive actionable insights from data and make evidence-based decisions.
- Health Education & Communication
Students are involved in designing and delivering health education sessions, awareness campaigns, and communication strategies—an essential skill in public health leadership.
- Global Exposure
Opportunities for virtual and physical exchanges with international institutions ensure students stay updated with global best practices and innovations in the public health space. Our students have the opportunities to experience health systems in countries like UAE, Hong Kong, Iran, Hungary, Azerbaijan, USA, The Gambia, South Africa, UK, Australia and other places
